Inspired by the piano, music and the Opera of Montreal, here is Ode à la Joie!

Painted by Maryse Casol in 2019, using Sennelier oil made in Paris, combined with her own mixtures of pure pigments from Kama Pigments, on a custom cotton canvas on linden wood made by Support Surface in Montreal, Canada.

"Linden wood is the best and most solid, ordinary canvases are usually mounted on pine (lighter wood with knots, that deforms over time due to changing climatic conditions)" : Maryse Casol.
